A Note from Kris Wilson and Steve Gitelis, Route Owners & Operators
Welcome to GarbageMan Edina. We offer both residential and commercial waste disposal services, yard waste disposal and great tips on recycling, composting and more. We thank you for your business and/or for considering working with GarbageMan!
WHAT IS YOUR PHILOSOPHY ON CUSTOMER SERVICE?
We bought an existing franchise, but were customers first. What really won us over was the friendliness and courtesy of the drivers. We appreciated some of the extra personal touches such as neatly setting the recycling bin behind the can instead of just leaving it where it’s been tossed on the lawn. Common courtesy and respect goes a long way.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT GARBAGEMAN?
Great, friendly service, up-front prices, our small trucks are easier on our streets and we’re better for our environment.
WHAT DO YOU APPRECIATE MOST ABOUT YOUR COMMUNITY?
Everyone here loves their neighborhoods and the overall community. They want to protect the quality of life and make a difference.
BEST ECO TIP:
Every month, Americans throw out enough glass bottles and jars to fill a giant skyscraper. A modern glass bottle takes 4,000 years or more to decompose and even longer if in a landfill. So recycling glass can make a real difference.
Edina City Website
Over the years, we’ve contracted with more garbage companies than we care to count. Sometimes we changed companies, lured by offers of lower prices. Sometimes we were forced to change haulers because they were bought out by one of the giants. In all cases, we never felt any loyalty to the companies, and they certainly didn’t waste any time caring about their customers.
So, when Mike Gonser, GarbageMan franchise owner, made the rounds of our neighborhood back in 2009, we were very interested in his sales pitch and competitive pricing. We have been happy customers since early 2010, and have no plans to change. Every week we get friendly and personal service from our GarbageMan, Shane, and our dog even gets a MilkBone treat!
